CE Courses

EETI offers a full range of AHA, ITLS, and NAEMT certified courses for healthcare professionals, first responders, and community members.

American Heart Association

Emergency Educational Training Institute (EETI) is a Florida-based training provider dedicated to preparing healthcare professionals, first responders, and community members with the life-saving skills they need most. As an American Heart Association training site, EETI offers a full range of AHA-certified courses designed to build confidence and competence in emergency cardiovascular care, from entry-level rescuer skills to advanced provider-level resuscitation training.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

A provider-level course for healthcare professionals and students entering clinical fields. It covers high-quality CPR, AED use, and team-based resuscitation for adult, child, and infant victims, giving participants the skills and certification required to work in most clinical and pre-hospital settings.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

A provider-level course for those who manage cardiopulmonary emergencies, including physicians, nurses, and paramedics. It builds on BLS skills with advanced airway management, pharmacology, and team dynamics for treating cardiac arrest, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.

Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)

A provider-level course for physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals involved in stroke care. It teaches a systematic approach to rapidly recognizing, evaluating, and treating stroke patients, including use of stroke assessment scales and time-critical treatment decisions.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

A provider-level course for clinicians who care for critically ill or injured infants and children. It focuses on rapid recognition and management of respiratory failure, shock, and cardiac arrest in pediatric patients.

Heartsaver CPR/AED

A lay-rescuer course for non-medical professionals such as workplace employees, teachers, coaches, and caregivers. It teaches basic CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants, meeting workplace and licensing requirements.

Heartsaver First Aid

A lay-rescuer course covering treatment of common injuries and medical emergencies (bleeding, choking, burns, sudden illness) until professional help arrives. Ideal for anyone wanting practical, everyday emergency-response skills.

AHA Instructor Courses (BLS, ACLS, ASLS, PALS & Heartsaver)

For experienced providers who want to teach rather than just hold a provider card. These courses train current, qualified AHA providers to become certified AHA Instructors, covering teaching methodology, course delivery standards, skills testing, and use of AHA's instructor materials.

ITLS Certification

In addition to our American Heart Association courses, EETI is proud to offer International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training — the leading global standard for prehospital and hospital-based trauma assessment and management. ITLS courses build practical, hands-on skills for rapidly recognizing and managing life-threatening trauma in the field or the ER.

ITLS Provider (Basic)

A 16-hour course (8 hours of instruction, 8 hours of hands-on skills) for EMTs, first responders, and other basic-level providers. It teaches a simplified patient assessment algorithm to quickly identify and manage life-threatening trauma, covering brain, spine, chest, abdominal, and extremity injuries as well as burns and environmental emergencies.

ITLS Provider (Advanced)

The same 16-hour course delivered at the advanced level for paramedics, trauma nurses, and physicians. It adds advanced interventions and decision-making for complex trauma presentations, sharpening critical assessment and treatment skills for providers who manage higher-acuity trauma patients.

ITLS Pediatric

A focused course for providers who care for injured infants and children, addressing the unique assessment and treatment considerations of pediatric trauma so providers are prepared for the cases that carry the least room for error.

ITLS Instructor

For providers who've completed an ITLS Provider course with strong exam and skills scores. Using a blended online-plus-classroom format, it prepares experienced providers to teach and certify others, covering skill-station facilitation, testing, and student evaluation.

ITLS High Threat

A two-day (16-hour), hands-on course for military and civilian providers who operate in high-threat or non-permissive environments. It teaches scene safety assessment, rapid evaluation using the MARCH algorithm, mass-casualty triage, delayed transport care, and emergency communications.

NAEMT Courses

EETI also offers a full range of National Association of EMTs (NAEMT) courses, covering trauma care, tactical medicine, geriatric care, operational safety, and professional leadership for EMS practitioners at every level.

PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support)

The internationally recognized gold standard in trauma education, taught in over 80 countries. It covers scene and patient assessment, hemorrhage control, airway/breathing management, and shock, helping providers improve trauma outcomes and reduce mortality in the field.

TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care)

Developed with the Department of Defense's Joint Trauma System, this course teaches evidence-based, life-saving battlefield trauma care. Offered at three tiers — All Service Members, Combat Lifesaver, and Combat Medic/Corpsman.

TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care)

The civilian counterpart to TCCC, preparing EMS clinicians and law enforcement medics to manage casualties in active-threat or tactical environments. It covers triage, hemorrhage control, and psychological responses to mass-casualty incidents.

GEMS (Geriatric Education for EMS)

An 8-hour course focused on the fast-growing older-adult patient population. Using the GEMS Diamond assessment approach, it covers age-related physiological changes, polypharmacy, elder maltreatment, and end-of-life care.

EVOS (Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety)

A course addressing the leading cause of on-duty EMS injuries and deaths: vehicle crashes. It uses real-world crash analysis and case studies to teach safer driving practices and crash-prevention strategies for practitioners at all levels.

EMS Safety

An 8-hour course covering roadway safety, infection control, patient handling, and personal resilience. It's the only comprehensive national safety training for EMS professionals, aimed at building a culture of safety and reducing on-the-job injuries and fatalities.

PEPL (Principles of Ethics and Personal Leadership)

A 16-hour course on ethical decision-making, conflict resolution, and professional conduct. Through case studies and interactive discussion, it strengthens how providers interact with patients, families, colleagues, and their communities.
